Amman, (Petra) -- A Turkish economic delegation pledged to put its expertise at the disposal of Greater Irbid Municipality (GIM) to help it build a central vegetable market.

GIM Mayor Abdul Raouf Al-Tal met with the delegates from Bursa Chamber of Industry and discussed scopes of cooperation to build the market on 50,000 square meters.

Al-Tal briefed the visiting delegation on the project's masterplan and its feasibility study, noting it will replace the current market, which does not have the capacity to cater for the growing amounts of fruit and vegetables.

He also outlined available investment opportunities between the two countries in areas of hotels, malls, public parks, restaurants, theme park and an exhibition hall.

The team visited Irbid Chamber of Commerce and met with its Chairman Muhammad Al Shoha, who presented a briefing on trade and retail sector in the city.
