Amman, (Petra)-- The
United Nations 2009 report on security and stability
around the world has ranked Jordan 14th among the
world’s top countries in preserving safety,
security and stability for its citizens and visitors,
Al Rai daily reported on Saturday.
The 140- page report, which ranked Switzerland
first, pointed that Jordan is considered among the
safest and most stable Arab nations as a result of
the dedication of security apparatuses in providing
safety and security in the Kingdom, noting that the
security apparatuses proved capability and experience
in detecting attempts to shake stability.
Earlier this year, a U.N. specialized
team visited the Kingdom and carried out a study on
security and stability in Jordan. The team commended
the way security officers deal with citizens and visitors
in the Kingdom.
Security procedures followed in Jordan
are considered among the most accurate ones in the
region, a fact that could help security apparatuses
preserve security and stability in the country, the
study said.
