As -Salt, Dec. 17 (Petra) – The
Embassy of the Netherlands on Wednesday held a ceremony
to mark the sixtieth anniversary of the Universal Declaration
of Human Rights.
The ceremony , held in conjunction with
the European Commission Delegation in Jordan and the Land
and Man Organization in Support of Development, eyes to
raise awareness on human dignity and necessity to defend
its lofty values.
During ceremony, Head of the European
Commission Delegation to Jordan Patrick Renauld highlighted
need to maintain unceasing cooperation between Jordan and
EU, particularly in crucial issues of human rights.
Renauld said Jordan and EU exert unrelenting
efforts to rejuvenate joint conventions and treaties to
promote concepts of justice and equality and to achieve
development and prosperity for all nations.
