Amman-(Petra)—Director General of
Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) Salem
Louzi announced the establishment of “early warning
system” in the AOAD to follow up and monitor animal
diseases in the Arab world and generalizing them in other
countries.
Louzi expressed AOAD readiness to develop
the work of this office to become an office for animal diseases
at Arab world level.
He expressed his keenness to cooperate
and coordinate with Arab vets and Jordan Veterinary Association
(JVA), in line with the AOAD open policy with the civil
society organizations and to cooperate with private sector.
Abdul Fattah Kelani, Chairman of
JVA and Chairman of Permanent office of Arab Veterinarians
Union (AVU) said that (AVU) and JVA hoped that AOAD would
perform the same role of the Food and Agriculture Organization
, particularly in the field of food safety and health through
cooperation and coordination with Arab Health ministers
and regional Office for Nutrition constitution.
